Technical Boilerhouse Risk Assessment

24 April 2018Crewe Hall, Weston Rd, Haslington, Crewe CW1 6UZ

BG01 is recognised as industrial best practice for steam and hot water boilers and highlights the legal requirement to carry out a “Technical Boilerhouse Risk Assessment” under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (MHSWR).

Delegates attending previous conferences have requested further support from CEA to help them understand what is required, who is responsible and who needs to take action within the organisation
to comply with the law. (Non-compliance with HSE guidance and the law are attracting substantial fines and potentially custodial sentences).

Note: In 2017 HSE prosecutions levied £69.9 million in fines. 6% of all prosecutions were immediate custodial sentences with a further 12% being suspended sentences.

The two-day Technical Boilerhouse Risk Assessment Conference will be held at Crewe Hall, Cheshire.

Tuesday 24th & Wednesday 25th April 2018.

MCPD, I-GAS & BG04 One-Day Seminar

26 April 2018Crewe Hall, Weston Rd, Haslington, Crewe CW1 6UZ

One of the single most important directives for many years in the combustion industry was transposed into UK law January 2018. If you own or operate any combustion plant with a thermal input of between 1MW and 50MW you will be affected. This means anyone with a boiler generating around 1.3 ton/hr of steam or more, or using a CHP or diesel generator of around 500kVA or more, will need to know about this directive.

Boiler water treatment is a critical aspect of operations when it comes to safe and reliable operation of any type of industrial boiler plant. Whether that is Industrial Hot Water Boilers, Industrial Shell and Tube Steam Boilers or Large Scale Water Tube Boilers for power generation, good quality water treatment is paramount to ensure safe and reliable operation over the long term.

The I-GAS Scheme has been designed to take operatives who may be relatively new to the gas industry or already experienced gas operatives through five levels of Industrial Gas Qualifications.

This One-day seminar will be held at Crewe Hall Cheshire.

Senior Managers Conference 2018

01 November 2018Cambridge Belfry Cambourne, Cambridge, CB23 6BW

The newest addition to the CEA conference programme is the "Senior Managers' Conference", aimed at CEO's MD's CFO's, General Managers, Estates Directors, Engineering Directors, H&S Managers and all other Senior Managers in your business. (If this isn't you can you please forward this to your Senior Managers').

We recognise that time is precious and that very senior people have a wide range of knowledge and experience on many topics related to their business, so why would you attend? The simple answer is that many things have changed in the areas we will cover in this conference and they continue to change, such as the MCPD being transposed into UK Law in January 2018, the Pressure Equipment Directive updates, PSSR, Judiciary sentencing guidelines and several other related topics.

Our aim is to bring you up to speed in as short a time as possible and covering as many high-level issues as is practicable in one day - 1st November 2018 at the Cambridge Belfry Hotel.

If your site runs any sort of boiler plant, Hot Water Boilers, Steam Shell and Tube Boilers, Water Tube Boilers, Steam Generators, or Coil Boilers you will benefit from attending this conference.

The guest speakers have extensive knowledge and first-hand experience of the topics that we will be covering, they will be open to conversations on specific related issues that you might want to discuss.
